There are two main ways that the Tasmanian Planning Policies (TPPs) will be implemented. One is through the Regional Land Use Strategies (RLUSs) and the second is through the Tasmanian Planning Scheme (TPS).

The red highlighted box shows how the TPPs fit within the broader Resource Management and Planning System..

Once the TPPs are formally made and take effect, the three RLUSs will be reviewed to bring them into compliance. The Tasmanian Planning Scheme will also be reviewed.

It is not intended that individual development applications are assessed against the TPPs.
